Photos taken from across the Chazy river. The
buildings in the previous pictures are behind the stone foundation in the second
picture above. John writes "I understand that there was a saw mill and grist
mill located here at one time."

Bridge used to cross the Chazy River, from the Fee
Road to the Lavalley Road, Town of Mooers, Clinton County
On
5/1/13 peruser writes "Nice pics. I remember riding with family across Fee's
bridge when I was a kid - then sometime in either late 1960s or very early 1970s
an auto accident damaged the bridge and it was never fixed or replaced. The
bridge provided a good short-cut from Lavalley Rd to Mooers and Rt 22."
Photos taken 05/31/12 The above photo is a old
photo, showing how it looked before it began collapsing.
Old dairy barn, Route 12, outside of
Watertown/Brownville, Jefferson County. Formerly a dairy farm decades
ago, and then leased for livestock storage, the farm was eventually sold to the
Amish who used it for awhile and then built a new barn nearby. This
barn has subsequently been abandoned and is sitting unused and is rapidly
deteriorating. While the Amish were using it they cut various holes in
it and generally just let it slowly run down worse than it had been originally.
They also removed some internal structural elements which probably is also
hastening the collapse of this great old building.
Later in 2012 - The Amish demolished some of the
barn, the part closest to the road.
Sometime after the preceeding picture - the roof
part was pulled in by Amish and their horses.
2016 - at some point much of the rest fell in and now the only thing really
standing is the milkhouse, silo, and one piece of the rood peak. The Amish
are slowly dismantling and taking away or selling the pieces. In this picture
if you look closely you can see an Amish gentleman or boy working on it.
