Frontier Town, a Western-style them park on Route 9, North Hudson. Photos taken by guest photographer John
M. H. on 10/13/13. John writes "I understand
the original town closed in the 70s, then reopened in the 90s. Investors
added more buildings outside the town." and "The original park was sold
(after it closed the first time in the 70s) to some investors, alot was
added, and closed again. There are numerous websites, one of which is
www.frontiertown.net that tell the history of the park. Park is north of
Lake George!" The park was opened in 1952 and closed in 1998 for the
last time after many decades of enjoyment for visitors and various owners. More photos from Frontier Town on this page.

Bruce Hoffman writes "This is so sad. I went there when I was 8 in 1960. Took my
3 girls back in 1988 it was just like I remembered. Train robbery rodeo etc.
Just sad that these attractions have fallen by the wayside."
