NY
Route 5 Orleans County, west of Batavia. This series consists of 19
pictures from this abandoned farmstead; including house, barns, and storage
buildings.
 On
4/11/13 Roblgabe2013 writes "Sorry to tell you but NY Rt 5 both east and west of
Batavia does not go into Orleans County which is north of Genesee County."

Hand pump, frying pan, kindling
On
5/2/12 Carl A. Helsing writes "Pipe stand--With diesel fuel around the era
(1950's at least) indicate's that the pipe carries a "freezeless" valve (look's
like it could be a hand pump)---often used on farm's or where-ever outside--when
the valve is shut off, a second valve in the bottom of a pit 4 or 5 feet deep,
drain's all the water down so that the valve above ground will not freeze--
There should be an electric pump and underground piping around the ground's
somewhere--in a basement or pit--" |
